Not all the facts were straight as we discovered in the coming years. We based a lot of the info from interviews in Goldmine magazine. Gary Rossington must have been as drunk during the interview as we were at the the end of this show cause he even had the facts wrong. Most notably he stated that they were looking out the plane window before the crash and commenting on the beautiful Sunrise abo...

I😂
Ronnie did not a thing
See kids, even the most famous bands can be overly dramatic, and petty...Even after they croak.
Still missing you in 2024.
Some things are just true...some things are not. Southern men have a code of honor...unspoken and lifelong to each other. That's what makes the difference. I believe in the Bible Belt and the boys born in the it. Simple men with incredible moxy! Point: How come everyone comes down here in the south to retire? Guess it is a good place to connect with genuine folks! But I am a little partial because I have deep roots. Godbless Southern Bands! Amen.
U pretty blondi
I loved Lynyrd Skynyrd and did appreciate this documentary. It is just too bad that a bottom-feeding scumsucker like Jake Tapper had to be the one narrating it. But then again, maybe it had to be someone like him to go pick at the scabs and open old wounds to get this story.
Ed King.. was the “riffs” man.
🌟 LEGENDS live FOREVER 🌟
No she is something else!!
Amazing how one person who was never in the band has so much to say. Judy Van Zant needs to go away. If Ronnie was still alive he would have left her anyway!
what happened after the plane crash was not LS
Not one word mentioned about original drummer Bob Burns, they could have asked him to come back.
One of my favorite country artist of all time.
From the time they first started the band they changed members a few times they were always changing members really
The place was A joke the bouncers were crazy just looking for a fight.
Skynyrd replacing Ronnie is like wham replacing George Michael 😅
We are wrapping up a redevelopment project converting that building to a multi tenant industrial building
Met a guy named Jason, on my birthday Oct 10th 1995... We dance all night and fell in love, to bad I never married him... Oh how I wish I could bring back that year... 😭💔
it was cool till the bouncers started killing people
To anyone who reads this Keith Whitley is my biggest country music inspiration and has personally pulled me out of so many gutters in life by reminding me of the purity and hope of music. Thank you Keith Whitley, one day you’ll see how many people you reached with your music! You to me are the greatest country music artistic of all time, to me you are the greatest. Within your short life you faced demons, but we will always see your pure great soul.
What a loss
Narrated by fake Jake Trapper snake on CNN
Hugh Jackman would play a great Keith Whitley in his movie!
Phony jake tapper still the same. Just a cheap tabloid gossip personality just like he is today with cnn.
Dude is going out throwing salt on everyones wounds
God is a southern rocker now but his brother keeping the songs alive
Personal I dont like Judy van Zant. She likes the Attention as the " Widow" of Ronny van Zant and the many interviews and What she did too ignore Tammy the first daughter of Ronny. And also the Odom guy likes the Attention he was no Lynyrd Skynyrd membef only a friend of Ronny. He makes a lot of money with his stories true or not in interviews or whatever.
Don't give a damn what anyone says artimus is a part of Skynyrd more than Donnie Van zant
Artimus....great person.
Gary sounds like a little kitty cat.
How the hell do you except to earn a trust from a woman who cheated on him on the road. Tell lori was the sign. He died and boy she was the documentary special. He can't speak from 6 feet up
E x c e p t...😂
Good documentary. Best on Duane Allman by far.
W as it a damn minute, he overdosed on Alcohol? I have never ever have heard of an alcohol over dose.
Google it. 😅
Black Oak Arkansas..blew the door open for southern rock and also influenced rock music ..if you havent seen Jim Dandy and the band, go now!
The host is kind of a shit starter huh? He's literally going from one to the next with inflammatory comments..
Jeez ...what a bunch of girls. weird considering Ronnie was a shit kicker. This "doc" is 20 years old - ive seen a far more recent one and most of the guys still alive have got over it. I do think RVZ actually would have been enthusiastic about the band continuing in some form - he was proud of his music and songwriting skills, and to have his own brother up there, who resembles him and sounds like him? Its a good thing.. obviously the fans are still there.
Rip Keith whitley super talented
One of my heroes, I miss you buddy
When Was This Story Done? What Year?
She killed him Miami my Lorrie sounds like shit
She did it that feminist talking it helped and the way his brother is talking helped
She killed him
Fuck Lorrie Morgan she knows what she did.
Lorry was a wore
He didn't end his own lory made him do it
I don't really see how they can leave Lonnie Mack out of any discussion about the pioneers of southern rock. Duane, Rossington, Betts , Gaines , SRV , Gibbons all pointed to Lonnie as a MAJOR inspiration in their guitar style. As did the British blues players like Clapton, Beck Green and Page
Problem with carter is an honest idiot is still an idiot!
Rip Dickie betts
Thank you so much for sharing this. What a voice I mean some people are just born with natural talent and I truly believe he is/was one of them.
